YoungER Singers

Offers children between the ages of 6 and 8 the opportunity to sing in a choir and develop their musical abilities. YoungER Singers participate in the annual Young Singer Christmas and spring concerts. Requirements: Only a love of singing with a weekly rehearsal commitment on Mondays from 5:45pm to 6:45pm. No experience is necessary - admission by registration. All are welcome to register for the YoungER Singers program.

director - Kelly King

Kelly King has an ARCT in Piano and Vocal Performance. She maintains a busy voice and piano studio in Durham Region, and accompanies for choirs and singers. Kelly was the Director for the General Motors Choir and currently directs "His Kids Children's Choir". She has taught Grades 4-8 music in a private school, and "Music for Young Children". Kelly has a musical family and one of her favourite pastimes is singing with her church choir.

accompanist - Lois Craig

LOIS CRAIG has an A.R.C.T. in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto. She obtained a Bachelor of Music from McGill University, Montreal and then earned a Master of Music in accompanying and Piano Pedagogy from Southern Methodist University, Dallas. Lois teaches piano to children and adults and accompanies singers and instrumentalists. Lois is the accompanist for the Young Singers organization and is the Director of Music at St. Paul's United Church in Ajax.
